Hi, different species of ants have different time for mating flights. I could one just yesterday between a brick in my back yard.
Wait for a warm (not hot) day just after a day of rain (12-24 hours) and the day must have light wind, this makes it perfect for their flights as the wind is not going to kill them and the rain hardens the ground for easy digging. Best place to find them is usaully on pathways as you can see them, once they hit the grass there lost forever. Only takes 2 minutes to dig a hole and their gone.

    Hi Deano,
I have just joined forum and live in Melbourne. Looks like you have plenty of experience. I would like to pick your brain - just like an ant would I guess
